Please note: in order to follow recommendations for social distancing and proper guidance from CDC some consulting, prenatals, education will be done virtually via Zoom. Click here for more information on virtual doula services.

To keep myself and my clients safe, in person support will be available for birth clients only.

Every pregnancy is different; every birth is different; every postpartum is different. Because of this, my role as a doula and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist® adjusts to the needs of each individual client.

Hands on support

Birth Support – Suggested fee $1200*
After an initial meeting to make sure that we are the right fit, we’ll schedule up to two prenatal visits to discuss birth options, birth plan, and postpartum. From week 38 until your baby is born, you’ll have 24-hour on-call support. When active labor begins, I will meet you at your home (or the hospital) to provide emotional and physical support until 1-2 hours after your baby is born; this includes breastfeeding support to ensure a good first latch. After your baby is born, I will provide a follow up visit in your home, which included a breastfeeding consultation. Birth and postpartum clients will have access to my ever-growing lending library and can contact me about breastfeeding questions by text for the duration of the breastfeeding experience.

Postpartum Support –  Day $35 per hour / Overnight $30 per hourCurrently unavailable
There was a time when the village came together to support a new family. Providing postpartum support is my way to honor that village.  Postpartum visits vary greatly by need for each individual family. As a postpartum doula, I nurture the new family by providing emotional and physical support, evidence-based information on newborn care, assistance with infant feeding, light housework (such as dishes and laundry),  cooking and food prep, baby soothing techniques, herbal sitz bath for mother and local resources.

Breastfeeding support – Suggested fee $75 – $125*
As a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist®, I can help with common breastfeeding problems in the comfort of your own home.  A typical breastfeeding support session is about 1-2 hours. Fee is $75 for a virtual session and $125 for in person support.

Private In-Home Consultations (may be virtual)
While I believe that everyone should have access to a doula, not everyone wants a doula to attend their birth or assist them in the postpartum. During this in-home consultation, we will work together to come up with a customized postpartum or birth plan based on you and your family.  I will address specific needs and concerns, provide evidence-based information, and how to communicate your needs to your care provider/support team.

Personalized Postpartum Plan – Suggested fee $85* (virtual consultation)
We’ll talk about your thoughts and anticipated needs during the postpartum period and how you can make sure your needs are addressed postpartum. This includes: managing the day-to-day, creating a support network, tips for streamlining the hazy days, finding help if you need it and going back to work, together we’ll make up a postpartum plan to ease your transition into parenthood. This includes a follow-up postpartum call to see how things are going, as well as address anything new that pops up.

Personalized Birth Plan -Suggested fee $85*
(virtual consultation)
We’ll discuss when to go to the hospital, possible interventions, and the postpartum hospital stay; together, we will create document to share with your support team & care provider. Should you decide later to use me as a doula, payment will be applied to the birth support fee, and the session will be considered a prenatal visit.

*I believe we create the world we want to live in.  I want to live in a world where everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances, has access to a doula.  My clients trust me to be present at their birth and so I am trusting my clients to pay what they feel they can afford.  My suggested fee covers my services, expenses and child care and allows me to provide low cost care to clients in need.  If you feel you need to pay a different amount please let me know what you are comfortable with. No questions asked.

All birth and postpartum clients receive a discount on classes and other perks from A Brighter Birth collective.
